Easter Pics!

Today we got the kids Easter pics done. After weeks of trying to pick outfits...finding just the right fabric that would coordinate, and making the accessories (headband, bracelet, and belt) suffering only one burn from the hot glue gun...thank you very much...it was finally here. We made sure to go after Patrick was well rested and full. He didn't do too badly. They took 100 shots...we narrowed it down to 2. Don't ask me how. Although at the place we go, you get the cd with every shot they take, so if we decide we need another 80 shots, we can always download them and order some. These are just a few...

Ally's Big Day

Today was a big day for Allyson. She served her first mass as an alter server today. She said she really enjoyed it. Although she has to get used to the gown...she had some problems tripping over it. But she said she didn't fall, so she was happy about that.
All in all, she was pleased with her "performance" and is ready for the next mass tomorrow. Ron gets to take her to that one since there's no school. We'll see how she performs having family there watching. : )
Not sure about how the church feels about taking pictures during a mass, but if we can get one, I'll certainly post it.

Our First Post

Welcome to our blog!! (and Happy St. Patty's Day!) We decided it might be easier to keep everyone updated this way. So for our first post we will just give a brief update on what's been going on lately...

Ally: Ally just finished up her first ever basketball season. She's a natural!! She absolutely loved playing and by the end of the season had improved 110%! She can't wait for the summer season to start. In the meantime, she decided to keep active with Spring Soccer for a travel team in Philly. Her first game is in a couple of weeks, and since she is the oldest on her team this season, she is ready to dominate! (And Ron told her she better)

Patrick: Well Patrick has just been growing so fast we can't get over it! He is really starting to talk now. He loves to tell everyone the animal sounds and point to all the body parts. He has the biggest appetite I've ever seen and will scream at the top of his lungs when he's hungry. His teachers said if he's not full at lunch he eats food off the other kids' plates. But he didn't gain any weight between his 12 and 15 month check up. He's about 24 lbs. So the running around like a madman is helping.

Ron and I are working hard but enjoying life. We had a nice little getaway a couple of weeks ago. We went to Harrah's in Atlantic City for the night; had a nice dinner at a restaurant with NO KIDS MENUS and had massages at the Red Door Spa the next morning. It was wonderful! And Grandma Joan and Pop Pop got to have a fun sleepover. : )

Check back for more posts soon!
