Already?????

Well Patrick got into his first "fist fight" on Friday. When I got to school he had a scratch on his cheek. I thought he did it to himself b/c his nails were in need of a trimming. Nope...that was a battle scar.
Apparently Patrick and his friend Riley had a disagreement of some kind. Patrick ripped off Riley's bib and the fists were flying. Well, from the description of the scene, they both grabbed the other's cheeks with their hands. More of a cat-fight if you will.
Please keep in mind that Riley is older and taller then Patrick, but the outcome was Patrick was the winner. He didn't back down and he stood his ground.
Of course, Daddy was so proud. Granted, I did find it funny that he ripped Riley's bib off as if to say, "oh, it's on now," but I was also mortified that my sweet, baby boy got into a fight.
But since this is a milestone of sorts, I decided it was blog-worthy.

Atlantic City

Ron and I have a fun night out with friends in Atlantic City this weekend. My dad got us a suite at Harrah's for the night which was a nice surprise. We had a wonderful dinner at Bobby Flay Steak in the Borgata. Then as we were leaving the restaurant, there stood Bobby Flay himself. Very exciting to know that he was there and actually handled our food, but disappointed that he wouldn't even give us the time of day. Not a smile, a wink, a hand shake....nothing. Oh well...we took a picture of him anyway and went on our way.
After that we headed to the Taj Mahal for the Bob Weir and Ratdog concert. Of course, that was a good time.
After the concert Ron and I went back to Harrah's, got Ben and Jerry's for dessert, and enjoyed some people watching. We enjoy doing that much more then losing our shirts in the casino. Here's a few pics from the night.....

4th of July!!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!
I think Ron and I need to learn how to relax....we spent our 3 day weekend tiling the kitchen backsplash. Whoo hoo...party animals are we! The kids had fun playing in the sprinkler and the baby pool, though. Although Ally did paint the shutters for us. We did manage to take a break for some fireworks. We headed to Sesame Place to see those. I guess we have been spoiled by the Red Bank fireworks...these lasted about 5 minutes and were kinda boring, but Patrick was quite impressed. He just kept saying, "Bye bye fireworks."
I think he had the most fun looking for them as we drove home. Luckily there were a lot going off all around us.
We promised each other that we would take a day and head to the beach and just do nothing before the summer ends. So we'll see...
